  • Patients with special needs

IV sedation is part of our all-inclusive commitment to patient care and comfort.

How IV Dental Sedation Works

At your consultation, the dentist takes a thorough health history, including a list of your current medications, to determine if twilight sedation is safe for you.

If you move forward with IV sedation, we administer it intravenously, which makes it a powerful relaxant.

With IV sedation in Leichardt, NSW, you are unlikely to remember your dental procedure because you’ll remain mostly asleep or unaware throughout your time in the dental chair. However, we monitor you closely!

Because IV sedation is powerful, you must have transportation from our dental clinic. You’ll be unable to drive yourself home from our office. You should rest, avoid making any important life decisions, and not operate machinery for the remainder of the day.

IV Sedation: Part of Our Patient-Centred Focus

Aside from sedation dentistry, we’re pleased to offer:

  • Sensory objects for anxiety
  • Tailored lighting instead of harsh fluorescents
  • Weighted blankets for comfort
  • Pillows and cushions to help you feel relaxed
  • Bilingual dental professionals
  • Nitrous oxide sedation (happy gas) for milder relaxation

With us, you’ll meet a team of dental professionals with two goals: to see to your ongoing oral health and to help you feel at ease under our care.
